Sherif Adel is an Egyptian cartoonist and dentist. Starting his journey into sequential arts in 2011 when he launched "Barbatoze", a social and satirical webcomics that was published online and in various magazines and newspapers, including El-Sherouk, Daily News Egypt, as well as several digital news portals including Huna-Sotak and Al-Akhbar. His 2nd project was "Pass By Tomorrow - فوت علينا بكرة", a SciFi comedy serialized magazine which was published and distributed in Egypt was nominated for best comics magazine in CairoComix 2015, and exhibited in various festivals in Egypt, Germany, South Africa, and Czech. In 2016, a collaboration between Sherif Adel and Aly Galal resulted in "Mangaha", a surreal comedy fanzine. In 2017, Sherif moved to Tokyo for his PhD in dental medicine. Keeping his passion for comics, he started doing an autobiographical comicstrip titled "Gaijin Falafel", which was serialized in Metropolis magazine. Sherif continues to strive for excellence in both art and science.
